Ore-Ida Totchos Breakfast Recipe
Recently I received a coupon for a free bag of Ore-Ida Tater Tots from Influenster to try and review. I decided to pick up the Mini Tots because they are the crunchiest! Today, I’m going to give you my favorite recipe to eat these for breakfast.
What you need for One Serving:
Ore-Ida Mini Tots ~ 1 cup
2 eggs
2 pieces of bacon
¼ c. shredded sharp cheese
2 tsp butter
1 tsp flour
¼ c. milk
Salt and pepper
The first thing you want to do is cook your tots. Cook by the instructions, but for the mini tots that’s 425 degrees F. for about 15 minutes or until cooked and crispy.
Next, you want to cook your bacon. For a less fatty and crispier product I microwave for 2-3 minutes on a plate lined with paper towels. Then chop into ½ inch bits.
Next, you make your cheese sauce. To do this, melt 1 tsp of butter with 1 tsp flour over medium heat until it is bubbly then add ¼ milk and heat until it is simmering and beginning to thicken. Next, add your shredded cheese and stir until melted; season with salt and pepper.
Then, you want to cook your eggs. I like to first break by eggs in a bowl and whisk until very combined then add a splash of milk, salt and pepper, and then add to the pan on medium heat with the last teaspoon of butter. Cook until just done.
To assemble I first lay my tots on the plate then mix the chopped crispy bacon with the eggs and then lay that on top of the tots. Lastly I pour the cheese sauce on top and voila! Breakfast Totchos!
