Review: Marc Jacobs Glow Stick in Spotlight

I recently received a new box from Influenster and was very happy to find the Marc Jacobs Glow Stick! The Marc Jacobs Glow Stick is a cream highlighter that comes in one shade "spotlight" that is supposed to be a universal shade for all skin tones.
Spotlight is a pale, warm toned, off white color. It has a metallic sheen and small pieces of glitter
The Glow Stick comes in a twist up tube, very similar to a deodorant stick. It contains 0.49 oz which is quite a lot of highlighter considering how little you use for each application.

The consistency is a solid cream which at first was a bit annoying since I don't like cream products. They are often hard to spread especially over powder products. It would be easiest to use on skin that has a cream or dewy finish foundation/BB cream as you can just streak some on or tap it with your fingers.
It does work well with powder though, I managed to find a way! If you apply it with a duo fiber brush, I like the Real Texhniques duo fiber contour brush, it applied and blends gently over even the most powdery base.
Overall, I'm really loving this highlighter. The finished look is defiantly noticeable but doesn't have an overdone look. It really looks like a natural highlight. I know some people might not like the glitter content, but I think it doesn't look glittery at all, especially at a normal viewing distance. I also like how it's pale enough for my skin. Often times highlighters are too dark for me since I am so pale. I'm very pleased I got to to this product and I've been wearing it every day. I will definitely buy one once this one runs out.
This  product normally retails for $42 at Sephora.
While I received this free to review from Influenster, all my opinions are my own.
